Fractured Fables by Image is a book that looks at five different stories; Little Red Riding Hood, Rumplestillskin, The Real Princess, Rapunsel, and Hey Diddle Diddle
The stories or at least the base of the stories you know but that is where it is changes. Each of the stories has a new and different ending, with the exception of Hey Diddle Diddle which is down with only one workd of dialog and the the rest of the story is done by reading what is going on in the panels.
Each story is done by a different group of artists and because of this you will see a wide range of art styles. From a painting style in Little Red Riding Hood to a cartoonish stlye similar to the old Ren & Stimpy show in Rumplestillskin, and even a classics black and white in Hey Diddle Diddle.
If you are looking for a new twist on the old classics then go and get this issue, it is a quick read but you won’t be disappointed.
