Zenoscope has a hit with Grimm Fairy Tales April Fool’s Edition, and that is no joke.

The Grimm Fairy Tales April Fool’s Edition has 40 pages and five classic fairy tales, but with a humor that only Zenoscope could add. The stories are Red Riding Ho, Hansel and Gretel 2 Electric Boogeloo, Reefer Stiltskin, Jack and the Bromance, and Schizerella

Without giving too much of a spoiler we will take a quick look at each of the stories.

Red Riding Ho, The story of a hussy who always wears red. Think Little Red Riding Hood is a good little girl, well maybe she is good but not in the way you were brought up to believe. Instead she is a little easy and almost everyone in town knows this.

Hansel and Gretel 2 Electric Boogeloo, the story of a boy who wants to dance like Patrick Swayze. This is another story that has a sexual innuendo. But this time it is Hansel who wants to get around, but will Gretel show him the ropes?

Reefer Stiltskin, the story of a drug dealer who has a height complex. Here Stiltskin wants more then just gold, he wants to make sure he has a large enough stash for his business. And he wants to build a family at the same time.

Jack and the Bromance, the story of a bromance between a boy and his giant. Want to know what happened with Jack and his giant at the top of the beanstalk, well this might be the real ending, at leas the ending you have not heard before.

Schizerella, the story that makes Carrie look like a cheerleader. This is one fairy tale that doesn’t have a happy ending, well not a happy ending for most of her family.

The stories in the book are good, they add humor and sex to stories that we remember as kids, and they didn’t have those edges to them when you were growing up. If you get a chance and find one on the rack in your store make sure to grab it.

Cover Art: Cover A = 4 Nice job especially on the hair of the wolf.
Art: 3.5-4 the art does change from story to story and that is always good, no two artists should look the same.
Story: 5 they did a great job taking fairy tales and just adding modern humor to them.
