San Diego Is the Place to Be Starting July 23

Comic book fans, toy collectors, and just about everyone in the San Diego area will converge upon the San Diego Convention Center from July 22 through July 26 for Comic Con. The 22nd is a preview day, but you can bet the place will be packed each and every minute the doors are open to the public. The yearly event is bound to have something for everyone, especially the toy collectors and that’s going our topic for today. If you are into exclusive collectibles, this show has more than you could hope for, and some are already being presold for astronomical prices.

As of now the hottest toys this year are coming from DC Direct. To help launch their exciting new Blackest Night series that takes Hal Jordan (Green Lantern) into all-new territory, they’ve crafted 5 different Hal Jordan figures. If you are diligent about waiting in long lines and being in the right place at the right time, you can get Jordan as Green Lantern, Blue Lantern, Yellow Lantern, Orange Lantern and Red Lantern. A new figure is available each day of the show. The Green Lantern is limited to 3,000, the others to only 1,500.
